About
Paonia is the only pig at Sunset Pastures who was ever scheduled for processing. As a young pig, she was a wild force—disturbing neighbors, their animals, and crops, and escaping every enclosure meant to contain her 500 pounds of chaos. Her fate seemed sealed until a tragic accident took her sister Pernilla, which profoundly changed Paonia’s spirit. Since then, she’s become incredibly docile and deeply bonded to her human mom, now roaming freely without need for fencing. But don’t be fooled—if breakfast is late, Paonia will definitely
make her opinion known!
