The Phases at Sunset Pastures

The Story of Sunset Pastures – Phases 1 & 2

Like any good harvest, Sunset Pastures started with strong roots and a little bit of faith.

Phase 1 began with a dream—one funded entirely by Gerken’s Organics. Our goal was simple but powerful: to secure full ownership of the land so we could shape it with care, intention, and integrity. With the sale of Lot TBD Racine Rd, that dream is becoming a reality. Gaining full ownership means more than just paying off a property—it will give us the freedom to protect its purpose and plan a future centered around community, agriculture, and outdoor living.

Now, with Phase 2 underway, we’re building on that foundation—literally. We’ve started the work of subdividing the land into an additional 4–7 thoughtfully placed lots, making sure every new home blends seamlessly into the landscape and preserves the views that make this place so magical.

But even more exciting? We’ve begun shaping the heart of the Agrihood. We’re expanding the pond for peaceful paddling and reflection, improving irrigation systems so all lots can flourish, and getting ready to break ground on our community play area, shared gardens, outdoor fireplaces, and composting site. We’re also laying the path—both literal and symbolic—for our drivable and walkable trails, designed to keep neighbors connected and immersed in the land we all call home.

Phase by phase, Sunset Pastures is becoming exactly what we hoped it would be: a place where people grow together, and where the land is honored in every step we take.
